Structural Engineer

We require individuals who can contribute to the continued organic growth of our small, well established regional office in Milton Keynes. You should possess good technical design/computer skills and have experience of design in steel, concrete, masonry and timber. Skills in the use of Autocad 2000 are preferred.

Senior Engineer

As a medium sized consultancy experiencing growth, Andrew Howard and Partners are seeking to appoint an experienced Structural Engineer, approaching or recently chartered and capable of managing a wide range of projects as well as liaising directly with clients and other professionals.

They will be experienced in working with all common building materials, and be able to work to the latest design codes and regulations. Good communication and IT skills are essential, and familiarity with design detailing programs such as Autocad will be an advantage. Familiarity with UK structural design codes primarily steel and concrete is a pre-requisite as is the confidence to represent the company at high level multi-disciplinary design team meetings.

The candidate will be working within a friendly small office environment that prides itself on providing clients with the right practicable workable solution for our clients. We expect candidates to grow and develop to partnership level within our relatively small practice, and to take an active part in its future growth.

A good salary package will be offered depending upon experience.

Desired skills and experience

Degree qualified Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience
You will currently be working for (or very recently have worked for) a firm of Consulting Engineers
You will have an understanding of BIM and 3D modelling
You will be able to manage resource allocation and fee tracking
You will be a good communicator and articulate - both written and verbal
You will have a keen interest in business development
Knowledge of drainage design is useful.
