“Andrew Howard and Partners have made a very important contribution to The Cave and The Beacon projects, providing invaluable advice during the planning and design stages and ensuring that the sculptures are installed safely for people to enjoy.”

“I have now worked with Aspi Chichger for approximately forty years in his present practice, Andrew Howard & Partners, and when he was an employee with other practices. Over these years ,I have used his expertise on many varied projects ranging from commercial, industrial to residential properties.
Andrew Howard & Partners have taken the same care and given the same attention to all projects from the largest commercial industrial project to the smallest (ie the calculations and details for a single bean to be incorporated in a small extension to a residential property).
On all of the commissions undertaken for Len Mason Consultants, they have been able to meet programmes with very tight schedules. I would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew Howard & Partners for any structural engineering projects in the future.”

“We need to work with engineers who can engage with us to deliver creative, sensitive and appropriate solutions. This is as true for sensitive conservation work as it is of contemporary design, where the structure may need to be minimized and expressed.
We work regularly with Andrew Howard & Partners because we find them friendly, responsive and excellent value for our clients.
Aspi is a very good and reliable engineer, so we can be sure he will deliver good, efficient solutions on time. We enjoy working with Aspi and his team and we know the practice will not let us down and add weight and credibility to our team. I would highly recommend them.”

The Brooklands Centre Project
“The Brookland Centre is a charity, providing services and activities for the older person, and has run the operation in an old building on a small site in Ousebank Street, Newport Pagnell since the 1950s. The project involved demolishing the old building, and then constructing a purpose built facility that met modern standards, and also provided a community centre for the older person with rooms for hire by the wider community.
One of the main drivers for the Brooklands Centre Project was the emergence of progressive subsidence at one end of the old building, which also affected the patio area and an adjoining wall.
Andrew Howard and Partners were recommended to the trustees as expert providers of structural engineering solutions, and in addition have good local knowledge of the area. There were a number of challenges to consider, including the size of the plot, the close proximity of other buildings and mature trees and, of course, the reasons behind the then existing subsidence problems. There were all dealt with in a logical and progressive manner, at the end of which a structural solution for the new building resulted. This has since been implemented and the new building has been successfully constructed.
Throughout the project, Aspi Chichger, who was assigned to the project, provided timely information and attended progress meetings, commenting on the implications of the other consultant designs and suggestions, to ensure the overall construction met the integrity of the structural design.
The Brooklands Centre would like to thank Andrew Howards and Partners for the professional services they provided, and the part they played in making the project a resounding success.”

Nash Village Hall
“Nash Village Hall is a grade II listed building which was part of the original village school. It was built in 1850 at the same time as the adjacent church.
From time to time we have had roof repairs and we detected some settlement below one of the lead gutters. Our roofer suggested that we have a full structural survey to the roof so as to be able to anticipate any major problems and to plan for future costs.
Andrew Howard & Partners were recommended to us by a firm of builders who recently extended the hall.
Our request for a quotation was responded to promptly and Aspi attended very soon after.
We were impressed with the knowledge that Andrew Howard and Partners have regarding ancient listed buildings and we happily accepted their quotation.
The Structural Engineer who performed our survey was professional and thorough. He produced a very comprehensive report. Fortunately we have no major problems but the report suggested some minor internal strengthening and a programme of monitoring. We have now contracted for the monitoring programme which commenced in January 2011.
Andrew Howard & Partners are doing a very competent job at an acceptable cost and we would recommend them to other organisations requiring this sort of service.”
